On Beauty

I see it now.

I see the beauty around me as flowers blossom and the sun shines on this corner of our world.

I’ve noticed the beauty all around me during this time.

Beauty that my eyes could not see because of my busy life.

I’ve pondered on the essence of life more than I ever have by looking out of my window.

It’s always been there, if only I’d looked.

But beauty isn’t just about the aesthetics. If we look past the surface, true beauty lies there.

Waiting to be recognised.

Waiting for us to acknowledge its existence.

That’s where true beauty lies.

In the depths of darkness.

If only we were to look.
