At ResearchEd Surrey 2022 yesterday, I shared how I had, along with school leaders across a number of schools I’d worked with, introduced executive/pure and instructional coaching.
It was the first time I had shared some of the ways we’ve done this and I hope everyone who attended my session enjoyed it. Thank you very much for choosing my session when there were other incredible sessions to attend.
I think it’s really important to emphasise that Executive/ Pure Coaching and Instructional Coaching go hand in hand within schools and provide different approaches and should personalised to the needs of the person in front of us. It’s not one or the other.
I believe all schools should ensure ALL members of school staff have access to Executive Coaching and Instructional Coaching based on the evidence that both are key to student and staff progress. I have an earlier blog post all about it if you’d like further information on the operational aspects of embedding coaching.
Below is the link to my presentation from ResearchEd Surrey. If you have any questions, feel free to DM @msybibi on Twitter or use the link to my contact details on here to email me. I hope you find it useful!
